Lauralea Oliver
Co-Owner/Behavior Consultant Lauralea's experience with dogs began in her early childhood with the family German Shepherds. Her love of animals led her to volunteer work at the Wildlife Care Center in her hometown of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. At this incredible animal rehabilitation center, Lauralea learned valuable skills in caring for both domestic and exotic animals. During her college studies at the University of Central Florida, Lauralea continued her volunteer work. She became involved with canine rescue and adoption at the Orlando Humane Society where she assisted in their Adoption Outreach Program. Since arriving in Los Angeles, with her newly adopted Plotthound mix Loki, Lauralea has delved into a career working with dogs. She also continues her commitment to dog rescue and adoption. In the process she acquired two more pups, Grendel and Fern. These new additions were a blessing in more ways than one. Their behavioral needs led Lauralea to an agility class taught by a woman who would quickly become her friend and mentor, Penny Scott-Fox. Thanks to Penny’s guidance, Lauralea recently became a staff member at the Pasadena Humane Society where she teaches Basic Obedience and Tricks Classes for the shelter's Behavior Department. Lauralea has begun to offer behavioral advice and training to the clients of It's A Dog's Life, llc.Lauralea recently began working for Pet Orphans of Southern California as a behavior consultant. She heads temperment testing and rescue screenings for this well-respected private rescue.

Amy Clarke
Co-Owner/Pet Sitter Amy has been living, working and training dogs with the help of a licensed trainer for the past 13 years. She started with her own rescue dog, Geronimo. After seeing what this dog had been through, she decided to volunteer with many dog rescue groups along with the Wildlife Way Station. Knowing that she had an incredible connection with dogs, Amy decided to volunteer at a local shelter that was in great need of help. The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society is where she spent three years assisting with the training, fostering, photographing and posting of the shelter animals for the Society's website. Within the last seven years, Amy has had over 100 dogs live with her while looking for a new home. There have been many behavioral issues that have arisen over the years. She has successfully dealt with them with the help of trainer of Penny Scott-Fox. With the passing of her beloved Geronimo, Amy has since been able to adopt two more rescue dogs, Sterling and Roxy. Amy knows by her own experience that a tired dog is a happy and well behaved dog. She couldn’t imagine a more fulfilling way to spend her days than with animals.

Tiffany LaBarbera
Dog Walker/Pet Sitter: San Fernando Valley Tiffany was initially a cat person, but when she went away to college her parents decided two Boxers and an Old English Sheep Dog would be a good replacement. She quickly developed a love for all dogs, big and small, and became the go-to pet sitter for her parents and all their friends. She has also been an active volunteer and planner for the Make A Wish Foundation’s “Wags For Wishes” event in Del Mar, CA. Working for It’s A Dog’s Life was a natural fit! When not walking dogs, Tiffany is pursuing a teaching credential, and lives in Pasadena, CA with her boyfriend and their cat (some habits die hard), a Russian Blue mix named Holly.
